Earth Breaking Ceremony Held for Gospel Centenary Monument

A 13 ft. high stone Centenary Monument is being carved which will be erected near Lamka Public Ground. Permission has been obtained from the authorities and a site has been allocated where the monument will be erected. As construction of the monument is to begin very soon a Earth Breaking Ceremony was held on the morning of October 25, 2009 (Sunday).

Rev. Zatanga (86) one of the oldest living ordained ministers performed the Earth Breaking Ceremony as organizing committee members and Christian leaders gathered together. The program was led by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Ginkhamung and was closed in prayer by Rev. Dr. Luaichinthang.

Rev. Zatanga explained that he considered it as an honour to be invited for this important ceremony. He further mentioned that he began his ministry under the NEIGM during the time when all the Christians were under the NEIGM Church but ended up being a Presbyterian after the believers regroup themselves according to their respective tribes in order to freely worship God in their own respective dialects.

We covet the prayers of all saints as construction of this monument begins. For further details please contact us at gospelcentenary@gmail.com
